I hope your lemon drizzle is good. Poor mum decided to bake yesterday and made a jam sponge. I looked at it and thought it looked a bit weird but said nothing. After dinner she cut it and it was the weirdest colour Ive ever seen, I asked if it was a coffee cake. She had used our eggs. Our hens eggs are HUGE and when you are used to huge and even bigger, you forget how big they are. Cake tastes like omelette lol
I shall make some custard, open the sherry and turn it into trifle

Ah poor Mum, I always use large duck eggs, but I weigh the eggs (out of shell) and use that weight for the stork, sugar and flour. As it's only me, I sometimes only use the one egg and make a small cake.hope the trifle turns out ok.
