We(myself and a few others)moved here from a well known DIY site.

Unfortunately it was full of hairy a**ed builders with attitude....now they have 5 less hairy a**ed builders with attitude

That's why I left a previous forum - too many trolls and people with 50,000 posts in a couple of years seeming to believe that the forum was their own property.

I flounced once
Well I sort of packed up my profile and left for a bit.

It followed an argument of sorts on a thread
But it wasn't the main reason
I was being messaged behind the scenes and was being made to feel very bad about myself
It started up again a few months ago and I nearly left again but the second time I was stronger.
Thankfully it has disappeared again

I don't flounce, I don't see the point.

I also don't see the point in getting so wound up on a forum that flouncing/leaving becomes an option.

It's the internet, it's not real. You have the option of an off button, use it!

I quite regularly take internet breaks as sometimes it starts to get on my nerves and I find myself becoming too invested in some things.

But I don't make a fuss about it, I just do it.

As for those that have had admin "beg" them to stay....that, to me, is a really bad move on admins part. No one person is bigger or more important than the forum and nobody should be made to feel they are.

A PM to say ....sorry you feel like this, the door is always open for you to return....would be sufficient.

And now I'm logging off to watch telly, but it ain't a flounce
