Saturday night/Sunday Morning Daylight sees the end of daylight savings. Doesn't it go on far too long?

All the east coast states are back on AEST.

Too long ???
I thought that 6 months lasted about 3 weeks.Time goes so much faster now I'm old.AND the clock in the car is wrong again!
