Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

Normally Linda, I would have Lasagna and Salad, but didn't have any Salad.

Today it was:

Pork Belly Strips, one Roast Potato, Cabbage, Carrots & Gravy.

Today I've been good and made a stirfry (used one cal spray)
I put in cabbage, onions, broccoli spears, butternut squash strips, bean sprouts, mixed lettuce leaves, chicken, prawns, ham, mushrooms, garlic, hoisin sauce and chilli. Mini tomatoes on the side. Made a big plate full, but...it has left me a bit windy.

I was wondering because I'd never heard of anyone having chips with lasagna before. Usually if I don't have any salad, I'll have some other sort of green veg.

Potatoes, cabbage and carrots is one of my favorite combinations. I'll sometimes make what we call New England Boiled Dinner, which is a corned beef brisket, potatoes, carrots and cabbage all tossed into one pot and boiled for several hours until the corned beef is fork-tender.

Lasagne and chips is a staple of pub and cafe menus across the country

And if theres not quite enough carbs, its often served with garlic bread on the side

What you describe as Boiled dinner, in Ireland we make it but with a ham/bacon. Not something Im fond of but Mr Missy loves it

Carb overload for sure

Ham sounds good with that dinner as well.

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

For lunch today I had two boiled chicken legs and a jacket potato.

And yes, I said boiled, lol. I love chicken any way it's cooked, including boiled chicken. I eat it plain with maybe a small dash of salt.

I've been craving parma ham with melon. I may stop and pick up some tomorrow on my way to work so I can have it for lunch.

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

Another stir fry for me today. Very much like the last one, but no chicken and more prawns. Ice lolly to finish off with as I put too much chili and garlic in the stirfry and had to cool off.
