Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Got a poorly dog.He wasn't well yesterday and isn't better today-taking him to the vet at 5pm.He does't seem interested in anything and he's sleeping a lot. It's an awful worry.

Glorious sunshine all day. More washing dried and a pleasant afternoon sitting under a tree watching the primary schools in the area run cross country! Fed the boys while DIL went on a sheep hunt. An unsuccessful one as it turns out. 17 lambs have been stolen from their field. Grr! A substantial loss.
Just off to Craft Club now.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Took the car to the garage for them to sort out a vibration problem. Horrified to discover the brakes were not good enough and in fact the handbrake cable was disintegrating - didn't seem bad to me! They wouldn't let me drive home with it so gave me a courtesy car and will have mine ready by tomorrow. The courtesy car is a Toyota Aygo - a bit like driving a baked bean tin! Tiny boot, but it has all the bells and whistles inside, not my cup of tea as a regular drive though.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

My poor dog had a very high temp. yesterday.Vet didn't know the cause, gave him two injections and I had to take him back at 4 this afternoon.Thankfully his temp. was down. He's on two lots of tablets and I'm taking him back to the vet's next Tuesday. He has eaten a bit of chicken this afternoon,so fingers crossed he'll be on the mend soon.
Thanks for your concern.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

well I never got to my lunch on Tues . I was going to my car with recycling, handbag and cane . I always walk down the corridor, down a flight of stairs and then my car is parked just there . I had shoes on that I haven't worn for ages and decided to walk across the walkway and straight down the very steep drive to my car ,,,,Next thing I'm on my BTM and bags all over and screaming my head off, No one around .I was on the floor for over 30 mins and tried to shuffle over to the fence and pull myself up but just couldn't do it . I was yelling for help and nearly lost my voice . At last an elderly lady drove down and tried to help but impossible. She found a big man and tg they got me up . I'm black and blue and so stiff !! That'll teach me lol

You poor thing Jac.Hope you're not too badly hurt. It's frighting when you fall but must have been more so for you with nobody around to help you.
Update on my dog-he's on the mend, even wanted a little walk this morning. So pleased.
Take care Jac.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I'm quite glad no-one saw me shuffling on my BTM Rhosyn. I've lost my voice through yelling for help but glad it wasn't at night or raining
I've got a button to press to get help if I fall and never take it off and never even though of pushing it . Daft B .I think it works for a distance outside
Pouring with rain here so I can nurse my aches and bruises on the settee with one or two medicinal whiskies . lol
Glad dog is on the mend xx

Oh Jac, what are you like? Button to press and you forgot it!! Trust the medicinal whiskies are working well.

Glad the dog is better Rhosyn.

Just back from quiet morning in the Cathedral. Some idiots have broken one of the stained glass windows trying to break in. They also damaged the north door - but as that is about two inches thick, they didn't get inside. Window will probably cost an arm and a leg to repair.
