Election Fraud

What ever happened to the Conservative election fraud cases ?

Craig Mackinlay who has been charged over election expenses has held his seat with an increased majority.

Hi

A trial date has been set at Southwark Crown Court, 14th May next year.

The trial is expected to take 6 weeks.

Southwark Crown Court is a biggie, designated for major fraud trials.

At least he wasn't rigging the vote as in Tower Hamlets and Birmingham. The one thing the left should remember is, when you point the finger there are three more pointing back toward you. The fact is that all parties have rogue elements, just that Labour are always quick to point them out.

Too true.

Also, the student multi voting issue hasn't gone away. As I understand it, There are trials, at some locations, to require an identity card with each vote.
Hopefully, if proven, there will be some lefty "winners" who no longer have seats in the house!

Indeed they are.

How long have we been waiting for your hero, B Liar, to come to trial?

Crooks are crooks whatever their political allegiance, and ignorance of the law is no defence.

Are you a Labour supporter ?

Re: Election Fraud

Hi

Complex cases take time, often years.

There are often thousands of documents which have to assembled, reviewed and then a decision taken.

When a decision to prosecute is taken, all these have to be given to the defence team who have to be given sufficient time to examine them and call in their own experts to review any they have concerns about.

It is no wonder they take years.

I retired 3 years ago, I am still involved in two ongoing cases, not fraud, but complex.

When they eventually come to Court I will be required to attend and be cross examined.

It is a response to your words, not two minutes ago, of:

"The wheels of justice are exceedingly slow"

Had you forgotten about that already?
