Re: Travel plans 2015

I'm another who would loathe the idea of a cruise. I like more independence and being out and about.
Next year's plans so far - a week in Lanzarote next month to escape winter doldrums and a trip to Namibia in early April. My belated retirement celebration trip, somewhere I have wanted to visit for years and I'm finally going!

Lanzarote is one of my favourite places . Namibia? What an experience that will be. Fantastic!

Its my favourite Canary Island. Very flat and even when hot there's always a gentle breeze.

Is Devon Duck all it's cracked up to be Mags?

I have to take the wife off somewhere nice but quiet in 2015 as it's our 50th anniversary, I have a nephew in Anglesey and he has offered his house to us for two weeks in August, two weeks might be too long for the wife as she's a real home bird, however if I can get her away even for a week there I'll be happy. We made it clear to my son and daughter not to make a big thing of the anniversary because neither of us want that, especially Phyllis, she hates anyone making a fuss over her, so I'll just have to wait and see how things pan out in the new year.

No plans made, they can wait till next year! Since we didn't go to Europe this Dec., we are thinking about a break in early spring to Germany - maybe visit some of the Rhine and Moselle towns. Other than that, we've got the motorhome and we use that for short UK breaks/walking expeditions.

I hope to go to Germany some day. I've never been. If I had a motorhome then I'd be using it for lots of breaks .
