This week is a crazy week for me---everything up and down, including my washing machine going wrong yesterday and completely flooding my kitchen--waiyting for a neighbour to look at it, but i think it is beyond repair---and i have had it about 25 years--but i will not be in a position to get another ne till christmas !!!!|So not feeling very happy about that !! i swear, if id had a box of cholates at home--i would have eaten the whole box !!!!

Oh, yuk, the washing machine dilemma doesn't sound good at all. Could you maybe get one on credit and just make payments on it? Or look in area classifieds to see if anyone is selling one cheap.

And I hear ya about the chocolates, only for me it probably would have been a run to McDonald's

Today I'm indulging in something I've been craving for a while now - fried fish. Bought some nice catfish fillets yesterday, as well as a pound of colossal shrimp (these things are huge) and breaded and fried 2 of the fillets and 4 of the shrimp, as well as 4 big rings of onion and I'm also having 1/2 cup of German potato salad. It's only a little past lunchtime and I've already blown 3/4 of my calories for the day

Oh well. Need to indulge once in a while, otherwise what's the point of life?

Ive not posted in here for a very long time , but i thought I would let you in on my weight loss , not sure how its happened it could be im doing more walking than before ,but since my last post way back when , ive lost 5LB, mostly i think a round my waist, cause slacks seem to drop down like a builders .
I still eat a cream cake now and then and just a bar of choc once in a blue moon ,im hoping it will stay off and not return when winter arrives .
I think i may go for a walk now , cause ive just enjoyed a cantanese ..
Hope you all have lost more than me and carry on the good work .

Very nice, Eliza. I know what you mean about winter. It's definitely the season for comfort food. Plus the holidays and that sort of thing and your body seems to want to hold onto the fat to stay warm. Winter is hard on people trying to lose weight. Shivering burns calories, though. Maybe we should go stand out in the freezing cold for a half hour every day, haha.

Do we burn calories when we laugh a lot Linda , cause i do a lot of that ,and have often felt exhausted when ive had a good belly laugh .

Well done Eliza---just a little makes a difference--and I bet you feel stronger with that walking--i know i do--I walk loads now, and my legs feel so much stronger.
