You should try going in Goth week. Great fun although it's more difficult to get accommodation. the good thing is that all the cafes are empty in the morning because none of them get up until midday.

Some of the outfits they wear are truly amazing - it is April 21st - 23rd this year if anyone wants to go.

Don't forget they do a combined Dracula and Hallowe'en event in October - also very good!!

Whenever I see a pic of Whitby, I always think of Goth week. It's hilarious to see all the Draculas walking down the cliff steps. The sandcastle competition is worth a look too.
