Re: History- Robin Hood

Of course Robin Hood was real.

He is buried in a churchyard in Elmswell Suffolk.

How do I know this? he was my grandfather.

Good God! You must have received numerous telegrams from the Queen or her antecedents over the years.

You don't have a painting in the attic, do you?

Re: History- Robin Hood

lol no telegrams or paintings in the attic.

I tried once to trace my fathers family back, but lets face it when you come up against trying to find your grandfather whose name was Robin Hood.....................lol

Just realised I am great for ending topics, sorry

Are you saying that your grandfather's real name was 'Robin Hood', but not the Robin Hood?

I suppose that's logical. 'Hood' is a real surname, and someone with a sense of humour could name their son 'Robin'.

Was he keen on archery?
