They are so used to dictating to us without question, they think they can extract money from us without explanation.

Yes, I'd like to know, what can they do?

Whatever that may be, must we meekly give in to their demands?

If we have signed up for it, then yes, we must pay.

If we do not, we will not be trusted on any future International Agreements.

We still need to borrow £70 Billion a year, not paying what we owe is the same as defaulting, our borrowing costs will skyrocket, costing us far more than paying up.

Well, I'll leave economics to others. I confess that I know nothing of the subject and they're only numbers anyway.

On second thoughts, I wonder whether any of our own bean counters could think up something that they might owe us!

It would be detrimental to our credit rating if we default on loan and pension obligations. This could result in investors shunning the uk.

Never mind folks we can just go to CAB, they will draw up a plan to pay back what we can afford, meanwhile i better find a recipe for gruel.
