Trump's 'state' visit

Seems Trump may not have as smooth a visit as originally envisaged, since one Council has vowed not pay one penny towards it and is urging other councils to do the same!!!

Good for them, UJ, I hope others follow suit. We have enough rubbish in this country as it is without importing more.

Yea.....We won't be saying that when we are exporting loads of stuff to America and getting our economy back on it's feet.

I agree OGF, it amazes me how people are so easily lead. I wish people would put our own interests and prosperity first instead of towing the witch hunt line.

I think people are being very silly trying to make an enemy of the USA, we have welcomed some despots in our time, deal with some very nasty regimes but we need to trade and have diplomatic relations with them so we expect our government and our royals to behave well and represent us.

I don't see trump as any worse than many,he's untrained and not a politician perhaps our calm Mrs May and our royals can bring some experience and help him to be a better leader.

Ostracising him is madness IMO
