The King of Opo Topo.

The King of Opo Topo.

In the South Pacific in a small Archipelago of islands each of the islands has its own tribe and each tribe its own King. The King ruled fairly and wisely over their subjects and each had a beautiful and ornate throne built from hardwood found on the islands. No throne was alike and each was the ultimate status symbol.

One of these kings the King of Opo Topo had designs on the other islands which had lived peacefully together for aeons.

Taking a hand picked War Party The King of Opo Topo attacked the nearest island and burnt the village to the ground killed all the men and boys and took the women captive back to Opo Topo with the throne of the defeated King. The throne after a brief ceremony was placed with reverence on the upper floor of the Kings Hall.

The King of Opo Topo, not satisfied swiftly continued his conquests and at each success he would place the heavy ornate throne in the upper story of his grass home.

It took 12 years for The King of Opo Topo to conquer all the tribes of the Archipelago and at the conclusion all of his elder statesman, warriors, wives and children had gathered in the King of Opo Topo's Hall to place the last of the ornate thrones into the upper storey.

Sadly at that moment the weight of the other 11 heavy thrones proved too much for the floor of the King of Opo Topo's Hall and they all crashed through the floor onto them below killing every member of the Opo Topo tribe.

And the moral of the story...

People who live in Grass Houses shouldn't store Thrones.
