Just be cautious
First of all I want to give credit where credit is due to the Admin of this forum.
When registering here you are not required to give too much personal information about yourself, unlike another forum which wants to know the ins and outs of Jane's cake, for their own nefarious purposes. Also this forum is not being used as a way of getting money out of gullible posters. When I registered on that other forum I wasn't stupid enough to reveal my given name and blocked them from my e-mail address after it had been verified. They have obviously checked up on my credentials; I had a pm from them in a tizzy because they have not been about to contact the real me. I have removed myself from that forum now.Please be cautious about how much information you reveal about yourself, when registering on forums it can be used to your detriment.

I'm guessing Tarantula is referring to a site that tried to sell her their dating packages?
Re the info we require on sign up:
Username
Password
Name (or first name)
Sex (male/female)
Country
And how the user found us
With regards to emails on account, these must always be verified, so if it is changed at a later date your account goes into an 'unverified' state (can't post/PM etc) until you click on the verify link that is sent to the new email.

What is objectionable is that some posts on that site find their way on to Facebook without the poster's consent.
