...Alice that to me is cheese and potato pie, sometimes I put sautéed leeks in a cheese sauce on the bottom.

I boil potatoes with onions and mash em. Add cheese and an egg and mustard, remash, stuff in a casserole, sprinkle with cheese and bake.

Cheese and Onion Potato Bake.

Mashed potatoes, grated cheese & onions or leeks, put in overproof dish in the oven until golden brown.

Something similar - I do baked potatoes in their jackets, cut in half, scoop out the insides, divide contents in half, mash then mix with chilli beans, cheese, parsley, pepper and whatever takes your fancy, put back in shells sprinkle with more grated cheese, then return to oven unti cheese brown and bubbly.

The remainder you can add egg and make into potato cakes for frying.

Not bad at all

I do something similar, but leave out the chilli beans and parsley, and serve them with chicken kiev. Definitely yum.

Shoot. Forgot to add, just had my serving of cheese on toast. Mmmmmmm.
