Re: Blocked bathroom sink

I'm concerned about trying to fix it myself because it could involve an escape of water and I may do more damage because I wouldn't have a clue what to do

Re: Blocked bathroom sink

Try DR drain

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Doctor-Drain.../dp/B004D0FXQE

It is brilliant. Part fill sink with water and suck up with above, remove sink plug and cover plug hole with above and push plunger down. The pressure it puts of the blockage is immense and will clear the blockage. Remember to cover the overflow or you will get covered with the mess it clears.
I bought one and can highly recommend it. I have no commercial interest in the product

Re: Blocked bathroom sink

thanks all for your suggestions, I forgot to post back! I decided to venture into the unknown so it was bum on floor, head under the vanity unit and off with the S pipe! I had a Sink Wizard which I shoved up the fixed pipe, there was a little black gunge but nothing more however, when everything was put back together and after flushing more bleach down it's all hunky dory!
