Re: Cheese on toast......

Cheese on toast for me, cannot eat it too late in the day as it gives me heart burn.

But I do so love it

Yep!
Add a dash of Worcestershire Sauce if you like and - heaven!

Mind you, I've been trying Shropshire Cheese lately and I love the taste - so much stronger than Chedder so - maybe - a good candidate for Rarebit plantman?! stevmk2

I'll pass on the sauce Steve but the Shropshire cheese certainly sounds good so I'll give that a try as soon as I can locate some.

I am drooling here, Shropshire Blue is my tipple.

For Welsh Rarebit remember the skipping chant ....
Salt, Mustard, Vinegar, Pepper ...plus grated cheese of course .... and what you will

MMMMMMMMMM - just nipping out to the kitchen.....

One of my favourite quick but incredibly filling (and probably terribly unhealthy) meals is beans on cheese on Marmite on heavily buttered crumpets - heaven!

Re: Cheese on toast......

Talking about cheese, has anyone ever made mashed potatoes, covered them with grated mature cheddar, then put them in the oven to bubble and brown.........absolutely delicious
