Glass. Tiffany Technique.

I'm just wondering nd hoping there's maybe other forum members that do glass work. I'm just posting some of the things I've made. I'm hoping in the next weeks/month to find the time to do some more.

Mrs mart went through a phase of making items using 'Gallery Glass' (trade name). This looks like glass but isn't. It's a liquid that sets. She decorated a lampshade with it and made stick-on patterns for the windows that, once in place, looked like stained glass.

Those are pretty, Mart, I have never come across 'Gallery Glass' before.

It's while ago that she did them but Gallery Glass materials are still available from a few craft sites on the Internet.

Kev and Mart, those are lovely pieces you have made.
Really nice, I like them.

It's good to have a hobby too, keeps the old brain cells ticking over.
Well done.

Hi Kev

I love that stuff. I have always been interested in stained glass but have never tried doing it. I love watching old leaded glass being restored.

Re: Glass. Tiffany Technique.

Thankyou for the nice comments. Longdogs, I was the same as you and I watched from a distance for a while. At first I looked at what it would cost to set myself up to do a bit of glass but it would have been quite exspensive to buy everything new. I found out with research that lots of people try to do this kind of glass work and find out very quickly it's not easy. When you go through Ebay and look you can set yourself up with everything you need very cheaply. The only thing not to buy second hand is a glass cutter.
