Groceries online?

Do you order groceries online? I am thinking about it. I wonder if they pick out nice fresh fruit and veggies for you or do they stick you with the older ones...

Re: Groceries online?

I do my shopping online and can't complain about the quality of the fruit and veg. Occasionally I'm not happy with short dates but I rarely waste food, everything is eaten.

Re: Groceries online?

I do the occasional online grocery shop as there's one particular place that stocks some items I can't get anywhere else.

In fact I've just done one today for delivery on Tuesday, mainly because they e mailed me a free delivery code.

However...I never order fresh fruit/veg/meat. I always go to a "real" shop for these items as I like to see exactly what I'm getting.

Re: Groceries online?

I have never shopped online for my groceries, as long as I am able to walk to the shops I will continue that way.

I agree that it is very useful for those who are unable to manage their grocery shopping themselves though.

Yes Blue darlin' I do my shopping 'on-line' because there is no way I could carry my shopping anymore. Yes I have fresh fruit and veg as part of my shopping, and so far, have had little bother with any of it, so GO FOR IT!!!

I think I might try it. There are so many other things I would rather be doing during this lovely weather, so to have the groceries delivered would free up some time.

Re: Groceries online?

I started recently and wish I’d gone for it a long time ago.

I can’t walk far, especially with anything heavy.

Re: Groceries online?

I do a couple of times a month for bulky items such as kitchen rolls and loo paper. I'll order a whole load of things like cleaning fluid when it's on offer and pet food.

I rarely buy fresh fruit etc but they are supposed to shop for you as they would shop for themselves.

Re: Groceries online?

Nope, Always shop myself as I like to see whats available and looking good before I buy

Id hate to buy say like a cabbage and find it was all stalk for example. Or a beef joint with either too much or not enough fat

Im lucky that Mr Missy is happy to come shop with me most weeks as I find lt more and more difficult to unload the trolley at the check outs and pack the bags. Thankfully I have no real mobility problems as In I can still drive
