Re: I'm Home

Hi Ali,

Glad to hear you are doing well. I wasn't in too long when I had my hystectomy. I recovered so well and had to remind myself to take it easy. I didn't mind the food either (much better than a previous stay in hospital) and it was nice to have the smaller portion option. Good choices, too.

Clumsy, a big for you OH.

Thanks Lovely Meerkat, I'm not doing too bad. I'm a bit nervous of getting an infection' I ate a bag of prunes and have been a bit loose after that .

Alison, I know what you mean about bowel problems after the hysterectomy. I was fine in the hospital, but did have a few problems when I'd been home for a few days. I was worried about bursting my stitches. I just had to learn to relax and eat more fruit and fibre. I can't eat prunes.

I'm exactly the same Lovely Meerkat, I was fine in hospital, but have problems since coming out.

Re: I'm Home

Just to keep you all updated on my progress......

The doctor moved my dressing on my wound this afternoon and she said I could leave it so the air can get to it from now on, she said the wound looked very good and the surgeon had done a very good job. I was very pleased.

I'm so pleased everything is going well for you, Alison ...... make sure you continue to give yourself healing time before you attempt to do any household jobs.
