A familiar sight when driving around the Pilbara are the endless bridges over “rivers” that for most of the year don’t have any water at all. These dry river beds are more accustomed to quad bike and cow tracks but when the rain finally comes, it turns into a completely different landscape and one that all who live in the Pilbara cherish!

After a prolonged dry spell, recent rains have greened up our garden. The grass is too good to cut when you have a a willing four legged mower on hand!

Titled The Ghost, Craig Parry's photo of the famed white whale won first place in the underwater world category at the 2017 Golden Turtle International Photography Competition in Moscow this week.
This special image of Migaloo was captured off Byron Bay in 2016 as the rare albino humpback whale made his annual migration along the east coast of Australia.

The powerful owl is a species of owl native to south-eastern and eastern Australia, the largest owl on that continent. It is found in coastal areas, the Great Dividing Range rarely more than 200 km inland.
