Re: Why young people were persuaded to voted for Corbyn

Young people voted the way they did because May has given them no hope and made no effort to reach out to them. My Goddaughter has considered Corbyn the bees knees ever since he became leader. She is 22 and just finishing her degree at a top university. She relentlessly campaigned for Corbyn online. She thinks the tories offer young people no future. Nobody is considering that and just assume they are blindly following promises rather than trying to understand how hopeless the future is for our children and grandchildren under the tories.

I voted Labour when I was a young person.
I still vote Labour now I am an old person.
Not all old people are self centred and selfish.
Jeremy Corbyn is the best Labour leader since Wilson.

Which highlights admirably what a shambles the party has gotten itself into

No your silly pictures highlight how juvenile you are.
And you were wrong about Corbyn's success in the election too.

Corbyn lost.

Losing isn't a success.

Blatantly bribing (duping) the young electorate to try and prop up the otherwise enormous loss to make it look less of a loss is frankly shameful.

Corbyn failed. he failed his party, he failed the country and he failed democracy.

Labour Lost. Sorry but you need to deal with that.

Hello? Nobody won. That's why the tories have to form a coalition with the DUPers.

Nobody achieved the 326 majority alone no. Yet the Conservatives won the most seats, a mere 8 away from that majority, and they achieved the most overall votes.

Thus Conservatives clearly DID win.

What is so embarrassing for Labour is that they STILL LOST despite:

1) The Tories having their worst campaign for 40 yrs
2) Bribing 100s of 1000s of young people with free tuition fees
3) Remainers voting tactically to keep Tories from having a majority

Labour gained a few seats but still had an unmitigated disaster.

Labour will never progress if people remain in total denial and keep trying to "polish the turd"!

And do you think those 21 Tory MPs, including ministers, who lost their seats to Labour, from Crewe and Bury in the north to Kensington and Canterbury in the south are feeling like winners today?

I think we can attribute that claim to the late John Smith. If it wasn't for his untimely death he would have been Prime Minister (and a good one too) instead of the reviled Tony Blair.
