Savoy Cabbages.

They are growing beautifully this year. My expert gardening neighbours told me I'd planted them too early Pah!

Love Savoy cabbage one can last the missus and I at least 6 meals I peel the leafs off and chop them.

Has for the beetroot that looks great also.
I am a beet lover can't drink enough of the juice helps with the oxygen in your blood you know. Great to drink before excercising.

I think the biggest tip is not to grow them in the same ground year after year. I leave it for three years before I plant them in a spot where they were previously. Some say four years. They need compost in the ground before you plant and they need to be lightly fertilized. I've read that because savoys grow quite slowly they don't need to be pushed with heavy fertilizing. I hope this helps.

Yes, the four year crop rotation rule.

My brassicas always get attacked by the dreaded slugs and snails, so I'm very impressed with yours! They look gorgeous. Well done.

Thankyou, I'm just having a play with posting pictures. This is the view from our vege garden. This is the northern tip of the Black Forest. Came out well.
