Iris's

Just in case anyone happens to like Iris, and was thinking of getting any for next year, I can really recommend these people for mail order.
They have a smashing selection of colours and types, and have good planting and growing instructions on their website too.

I have bought of them several times and they have always been good healthy plants that flower well.

What?
Some of the colours are beautiful Tpin, and they make lovely cut flowers for indoors too.

I must admit Roses and Dianthus (pinks) are what I love most though, I could have hundreds of 'em.

What flowers do you like, or are you not keen on flowers anyway?

Oh I'm useless, aren't I.

Mind you, that was pretty bad, even for you.

Re: Iris's

Do they grow in chalk ? We have a lovely sunny spot but many things don't like our chalky soil, it's almost pure chalk in places.

Have a look at the website Julie, it explains about growing them and their needs.

I think they are OK in sandy soil Julie, but don't know about chalk.
You can always email them and ask. It says -

If you have any other questions about your Irises, please feel free to E-mail us, orders@bearded-iris.co.uk, and we will gladly answer your questions relating to this bearded iris planting guide and iris gardening guide or any iris planting questions you may have.
