Yes, a brilliant night at Murrayfield stadium.
The Stones were fantastic........not too easy on the eye it has to be said but brilliant performers and a great set which included some surprises like 'She's a Rainbow' but it's their pure blues numbers where they really excel.
The 2nd half of the set was very dancy with a great and extended rendition of ' Sympathy for The Devil'
As I said before I was looking forward to seeing Richard Ashcroft just as much as Jagger et al and he did not disappoint with a really powerful set delivered in his own inimitable style which included many Verve numbers including 'Drugs don't Work', 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' and 'Lucky Man' all of which had the whole stadium singing along and set the audience up perfectly for the main act.
Tbh I don't think I have ever seen a better opening act at any gig and this is someone who saw The Specials open for The Clash!
