Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Well today was quick - I was all done by 12:45 compared with the 6pm last time.

I got a bit more information about the Methoxetrate treatment I'm to undergo when I'm in hospital again. Apparently I'll be hooked up to a drip 24/7 and it requires close monitoring hence the need to be in hospital. It's basically a drug to help stop my cancer spreading to other parts of my body and is used with various types of Lymphoma quite often. The day before I have to take lots of bicarbonate of soda tablets (6 every 3 hours) so my urine is alkaline as this drug can cause kidney damage. It's still more chemotherapy, though. I do hope I get my own room.

No feelings of sickness today although I slept badly last night.

So pleased today was over and done with quickly for you Ffosse. Mine was a long day as usual and I don’t feel too good at the moment but looking forward to my fish and chip supper.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Well, I went for a nap at 3 and woke up at 9... still, Tesco delivery tomorrow. I was wondering how I could eat £45 worth of food in a week but it's more like £30 on food as I bought household goods last time. And it's been 9 days since my last delivery.

I've just got to make sure I've no perishables left by next Wednesday when I go into hospital. Shouldn't be difficult as my appetite has been good and I hate to waste food.

Can't you just freeze stuff like meat and fish? Unless you're planning to switch the freezer off it's worth stocking up. You can also buy cans of stuff like beans and tuna or pasta. You can even freeze bread and get some long life milk so you don't have to worry about food if you're feeling a bit rough.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

I've only got a small freezer compartment but always have the makings of a meal. What I meant was not having any fruit or veg which could spoil during my hospital stay.
