It's quite interesting to do a bit of digging over these asylum seekers.

A great many, about 60,000, came across the border before 2013 ... when Israel constructed a 152-mile border fence, equipped with motion detectors and cameras to keep them out.
Ah .. got it now, whilst they weren't wearing Mexican sombreros and ponchos that'll be why President Trump is so sympathetic to Netanyahu of late ... he has a similar problem and is watching to see how he handles it.

Seriously ... immigrants/refugees arriving in droves as we have seen in Europe after Merkel's grand gesture don't seem to be quite the case with Israel and it's latest people displacement plan.

Basically it's a delayed clearing out. A retrospective immigration policy.
Many of these Africans have lived in Israel, the poorer quarters of Tel Aviv for over a decade. Loads of kids have been to school, graduated, and speak English, Hebrew and Arabic. And are now young single men.
This is one of the reasons the plan has so many critics .. and from it's own citizens too.
It seems a little late to be officially determining their status now .. to be given the harsh option of 'leave or go to prison'.

Integration, as with so many places, seems to be a problem.
A typical example.
There's a government run school in Tel Aviv with 1,300 kids ... none of which are Jewish. In fact the Jewish families in the area won't send their kids to it.

Oh the irony .... A nation built on immigrants.
Benjamin Netanyahu .. born in Tel Aviv .. son of an immigrant Benzion Mileikowsky ( the original family name) born in Warsaw, partitioned Poland under Russian rule.

Yes Julie there are variations in black the same as there are variations in white .
However this is a thread about racism and generally people in the African nations of Ruwanda and Uganda are in fact black people .

Most of the people being deported are young single male they live in the poor neighbourhoods of Tev Aviv .
As I have stated before Israel is not deporting families children or retired people .


It has been found Public disorder offences are 1.7 times higher among the migrants, cases of violent robbery are almost nine times higher and rape offences are 330 per cent higher than in the general Israeli population.
Israelis now are afraid to go out in these area .
When I say Isrealis I mean all Israelis has many Arab Isrealis used to live in these areas but they are moving out as they are afraid and the illegal immigrants work for much less wages so have caused unemployment and hardship and difficulties in housing .
They are prepared to live several to a room so have families have been evicted as landlaords get more money from renting to multioccupancy .
As always the hardship falls upon the poorest citizens .
And the Israeli government is doing what it thinks is right it is looking out for the rights of its own citizens .

To condemn Isreal is so hypocritical .
I bet there isn't a person here who would like to see all those single young African males sitting in the Jungle at Calais come to the Uk.

A timely reminder for the obtuse.

There is no similarity between the economic migrants in Calais who have yet to manage to inveigle their way into a 'new home'. Anyone who believes there is a little short of perspicacity.
Whereas in Israel ... Whether anyone believes it to be right or wrong, this amounts pretty much to the introduction of a retrospective immigration policy.
It's deportation or prison.

It's a hypocrite however who vilifies the Australians for their deal with Papua New Guinea over refugees/immigrants/asylum seekers ... but slavishly supports Israel making deals with other countries to accept theirs.

Israel has been very good to African refugees in especially in the early years 2003-6
Many of the newly arrived African nationals found jobs. Israeli universities began offering scholarships exclusively for African refugees. Some African refugees in Tel Aviv also became entrepreneurs - opening restaurants, daycare centers, clothing stores, and the first African owned bar. Sudanese and Eritrean culture Has be ome prevalent in parts of Tel Aviv
so it no wonder Africans choose the safe haven of ' racist ' Israel

Now though the situation of African refugees /asylum seekers in Israel is being used as a stick with which to beat the Zionist state and attract those would otherwise be indifferent to their plight have entered in just to slag off Israel .
In short displaced Africans are being exploited in order to demonize the Jewish state.
People are just pretending concern for the actual Africans in reality they couldn't care less and just want Israel to look bad .

Not often I disagree with you Morti, but here goes.

Yes it is a retrospective Immigration Policy, they should have been assessed and deported if they had not immediately applied for Asylum.

Here in the UK we have a minimum of 600,000 Illegals.

We need to deport them.

The Genuine Refugees apply straight away, the rest are Economic Migrants.

It is a retrospective immigration policy they're enforcing.

Should we do the same? Offer our 600,000 the option of deportation or prison? Even if they have lived here for going on 10 years or more?

Could we do the same? And if we did would we suffer condemnation or brace ourselves for a pat on the back from other countries? Would there be demonstrations in London as there have been in Tel Aviv?
Retrospective 'clearance' does seem tacky compared to dealing with the immediate problem at source .. that is to say, comparing them to Calais jungle aspirants who haven't even got here and need preventing.

However, whenever it is Israel in the spotlight their supporters rush in where Jewish angels don't fear to tread and immediately shout anti-Semitism if their policy draws criticism.

If we did start that I'd be first one condemning the actions. If people have lived peacefully somewhere for years I'm in favour of amnesty let them pay taxes and stay.

I might add it doesn't help the thread along when it is wadded out with jingoistic deeds of daring-do by the super-human Israelis.
Nice to read and all that but if we're going down that road they really ought to be balanced out with their Human Rights failures (regarding the Palestinians) so it's an equal peeing contest.
