Bluetooth help please

I want to Bluetooth some videos from my iphone to my laptop.

I have paired them both but now I need to know how I get my videos from the phone to the laptop. Do I need to go to some settings?

I have no problems when it comes to playing music through Bluetooth but am stuck when it comes to anything else!!

I am sure the answer is simple but I am a bit dim!!!

You shouldn't need to, if you click on share on your phone you should get the option to share with your laptop if they are paired.
Then you should get a message on your laptop asking do you want to receive it.

At least that's how I do it, but mine isn't an iphone.

I think Jimmy is right, just click on the file you want to transfer then select "share" and "Bluetooth" or your Laptop ID should be offered.

Thank you Jimmy and Bruce. The video was helpful and looks so easy but there must be something wrong with the pairing.

Both devices say they are connected but I haven't got the Bluetooth option on my iphone screen to share it to. I have several options but Bluetooth isn't shown.

I don't understand, if you don't have the Bluetooth option to share on your iphone, how have you managed to pair it with your laptop?

It seems strange to me.

I've always found Bluetooth too slow for large file transfers so I connect my (Android) phone directly to the (Windows) PC with a USB cable - the phone is then identified as just another external drive.

I haven't explained properly. I have Bluetooth on both devices. Both devices say they are connected to each other. Its when I go to share photos/videos that the option to use Bluetooth isn't there. I can email, messenger, Facebook and other such places but no Bluetooth.

It was a friend who made the suggestion about Bluetoothing my files, so I was trying it. I will use my USB cable which I know will be easier!!
