Safe Conservative seat here but it was interesting to see that UKIP were second, beating Labour by 2 votes.

Hi

Interesting, UKIP basically wiped out, Labour have lost a lot of seats. Lib Dems not had a breakthrough.

The Conservatives have done well, but only a 7% swing to them, much less than forecast.

Re: election results where I live

Truth be told, the turnout for these local elections were dire.
3 out of 4 voters didn't even bother to vote! Whether it was down to sheer apathy, people not even being able to name their local councillors, no faith in them - believing all they would be voting for is someone who is only interested in feathering his or her own nest, with the electorate being forced through rising council taxes, to pay for their huge salaries and pensions, or they are simply not interested in voting.
Who knows!

Conservatives win from NOC.
No Green or UKIP.

The new mayor of Manchester appears to be Andy Burnham.

I fully expect similar policies as have recently been seen in Londonistan.

Not that I'm bothered, as I never drive into Manchester. In fact, I never venture into that God-forsaken place full stop.

Re: election results where I live

I live in one of the safest Tory seats in the country-nice to see UKIP stuffed though.
