Last night I was out for a few drinks. One thing lead to another and I had a few too many pints and then went onto the brandy. Not a good idea. Knowing I was over the limit, I decided to leave my car at the pub and took a taxi home.
Sure enough, I passed a police checkpoint at the top of the road where they were pulling over cars and performing breathalyser tests. Because I was in a taxi they just waved it past. I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise as I've never driven a taxi before and I am not even sure where I got it from...
As awful Christmas jokes go I thought it was good!

I am an employee but work on my own in an office.I am sat here with my Christmas jumper on, singing Christmas songs from the radio and eating cheese crumbles (balls)
It is my last day at work until next Wednesday, do I feel Christmassy, not a jot.
At least the owner stopped asking me to go out for something to eat with him and a few others years ago, I kept thinking I will never get that day back again. It was painful.

I'm not feeling a bit Christmassy (yet) I'm at home today pottering about tidying up, polishing, moving things about, cooking etc etc getting ready for The Big invasion Friday.
So to get in the mood I'm playing all the Christmas CDs I've found one after the other.
Most of them are truly awful!!!
But the cheesiest and BY FAR the worst is Bing Crosby...Oh god, he demolishes Adeste Fideles (Oh Come All Ye Faithful for those who wonder) and leaves it in shreds!!!
Wrong pronouncuation wrong rhythm...
Makes Mistletoe and Wine sound classy!!!!
