Re: Boxing Day

Starting decorating, lot of furniture moving when Steven gets home from work. We are dividing the living room and bedroom so we can have a proper bedroom for Grace and another for Nathan as he shows no signs of leaving home anytime soon and having him on the sofa has got a bit old for us all.

Re: Boxing Day

Going to visit my new great grandson, in Cheddar, hopefully I won't run into the Mendip Hunt on the way! They're usually blocking the road and get one of my severe looks and a Poinking not to mention some choice expletives!

Re: Boxing Day

Well I am free to do exactly what I want today, so that is good.
Nothing exciting planned, but this precisely why I shall enjoy today.

Re: Boxing Day

Heavy rain forecast, but still dry here. Strong wind along the coast, but we went for a stroll on the beach anyway. Bloody freezing, so we dropped into Lidl for some ice cream to go with the Rumtopf. We'll have that later.

Dishes all washed and put away, and we've got a whole salmon and salads for dinner this evening.

Other than that, we'll have a quiet day.

Re: Boxing Day

I checked the weather forecast and decided on early dog walks. I took the 1 year old Labrador Beau-Jangles out for a long walk which included a swim in the sea for him (not me). Then I took the old dogs out for a slow stroll. I have ordered new jeans online, booked cinema tickets for Monday and now the rest of the day is mine to sit by the open fire watch TV and have a drink.

You are lucky to live in Weymouth, I love Weymouth. Spent many happy times there, playing on the beach as a child & later, bird watching at Radipole & Lodmoor & walking around the town.

Re: Boxing Day

Not the Boxing day I planned. Tony's been tossing & turning all night with pain in his arm. He decided this morning to go to A&E. I had to drive him there of course as his arm was out of action. We were there for FOUR hours! We didn't get back till 2.30. He's got bursitis in his elbow and has been put on strong antibiotics.

I feel too shattered to do anything now.

Just having a rest & then will HAVE to start on the packing....
