Seems the 'nasty party' is not above bribery to keep their conference safe from external squabbles.

The eternal conundrum - stagnate or alter (that nasty word 'progress'). Without a driving force a country doesn't alter (not that it should) and money plays an enormous part. You can rationalise all you want about socialism or 'caring for your fellow man' but lets face it this country and every other country has only ever changed because of some person's gain.

Seems I am skirting about the topic but not really. Everyone is suspect to a back-hander unless they hold some rock solid principle but life knocks that out of most of them eventually.

We need a different approach. I reckon it will come - it has to.
