Re: Lost letters

Oh dear that is funny spit

I get that sometimes Shirley
Its time to get the vacumn cleaner out and put the pipe on it.
I think if it is like mine you need the crumbs, crisps, cat hairs and
other dust sucking from between the keys. Also do the vent on your
PC as that catches lots of dust too.

Hope this solves your problem

Re: Lost letters

Turn your key board upside down and give the back a quick tap, looks like you have crumbs or something under the keys.

Re: Lost letters

Cleaning the key board was done right off. All went right again last evening. Scanned everything, spent a whole day doing that with 2 different programs. Wonder how long it will remain good.... Thank you all for the help here.

Re: Lost letters

I'm glad to hear you got it sorted out Shirley.
I had an Apple wireless keyboard, it was brand new and cost 70 euros, I spilled some coffee on it and quick as a flash I turned it upside down to drain it off, but I was too late and it shorted because the battery power was still going through it, when it dried out completely a whole line of letters wouldn't work and I don't think they ever will again.
So the lesson I learned there is keep liquids far from wireless keyboards, I think you are OK with the wired ones, unless you press a key when it's still wet. I'm back to using an old keyboard on the old computer in the shed, it had got wet from a leak in the shed roof and wouldn't work for weeks, now it's perfect again, funny things keyboards.
