Joggers

What happened to all the Joggers? I haven’t seen a single one pass by our house all summer, there used to be loads of them every evening and at weekends running all around the place, sometimes in pairs. Let me make two guesses, some ‘expert’ has discovered jogging was bad for us and everybody stopped?
They have a new name for it now?

Re: Joggers

My son runs jogging sessions 3 nights a week, and I see plenty of joggers (male & female) round here. At least our roads are quiet.

Hundreds here Jem along with hundreds more cyclists. We also have a few competitive walkers who do that odd walk elbows everywhere !

Could it be Santa getting in training for the big day?

Re: Joggers

The only joggers we see in our area area are all furry!
But I have to say they're more trotters than joggers!

Re: Joggers

Well they’ve all disappeared where I am, actually it was the wife who brought it to my attention, I agreed with her because I hadn’t seen any either. True enough there are a lot of folks taking to the old push bike again and leaving the cars at home when going into the city centre, the parking situation is chaotic in town. Looking on the bright side of it, maybe they’ve all moved on to the Phoenix Park where the air is cleaner, good for them at least I can ramble up to the pub now without fear of being knocked down by a Jogger.
I’m not knocking the remaining Joggers, but surely a good brisk walk would be just as beneficial and less wearing on the joints, or is there an element of showmanship with the Jogger?
