Feisty Charlotte

Charlotte Church has been on a couple of marches regarding austerity cuts and made her feelings very clear regarding them and Cameron.
She has had a backlash of insulting comments from people
Surely she has the right to air her views like everyone else - good for her and more power to her ..............
Do you agree ?

CC has a right to express an opinion as have others who disagree with her . I would guess the 'insulting comments' come mainly from social media, they seem to specialise in them ...

People in the public eye have the right to express their views, but they should not think that their status means that their view is more important than any others.

Perhaps she's a bit short on publicity these days.

I think she has every right to express her opinion as we all do, I disagree about her importance she is likely to be able to talk to the people who make decisions far easier than many of us and to bring people together too so she really is more important to any of us here.
I am not saying that is right but it is just how it is.

This is what she said and I guess many people agree with her and I suspect a growing number will share her point of view as time goes on and Gideon and IDS continue on their chosen path of austerity and attrition.

Re: Feisty Charlotte

Seems to me to be the standard political reaction from those in power to those that express an opinion differing from theirs.

As I have said a few times before, we in this country do not vote for those that will serve us; we vote for those that rule us.

Our "take" on democracy in this country has come to this simply because we lost the will to say NO to these people.

The people of this country have had the habit of accepting what our Government says without dissent - it is time this changed or we accept that King John's backsliding after 1215 at Runnymede has been accepted by an apathetic electorate.

Think on that. stevmk2

I've watched Charlotte being interviewed and she's a strong woman. Yes, she should let her views be known.

I can't stand the woman ... but I guess she's trying to reinvent herself like Russell Brand has tried to do ... and come the champagne socialist.
