Mont Blanc 1921

Picked up a photo album at a car boot on Saturday. The bloke selling it didn't seem in the slightest bit interested in it and just said, "give us two quid." Which I did. When I got it home I found it was a record of a ladies jaunt to Mont Blanc in the summer of 1921. The good thing about the album is that it is very clean and none of the photos are missing. I've no idea who the people are but it's a lovely glimpse into the days when a gal could go bravely across a glacier in her best hat and blouse and think nought of the cold. I'll post more photos, in the order they appear in the album, as and when.

They must have meant a lot to one of the ladies .Im guessing they were upper class to go as a group , not on a works outing i'm sure .

Oooh I love looking at old photos...lucky you Graculus!

It's great to see fashions of the day and the scenery of the time.

Interesting to see that the table and chairs in the glacier photo are all the rage again now

Wow! From the description I reckon that might be worth a few bob.
