Hinterland

I was really looking forward to the return of Hinterland.
But is it just me in thinking that they have included more Welsh dialect?
Not that I'm against Welsh, its just that I like to knit and glance at the screen, but now I have to put my knitting down to read all whats being said !
I just cant understand why they have this sudden need to break into Welsh!

A lot of Welsh people can't understand why they do it either I speak Welsh, but converse in English and I've never change languages mid- conversation and I've never heard anyone else do it either.

so true and those give us Welsh a bad name - a lot of my English friends say that happens when they are in Wales

Love this series but find it better when I watch the Welsh version with English sub titles.

Re: Hinterland

Welsh is my first language so I could watch it on S4C before it is shown on BBC.

Do remember in the Welsh language Version when his Wife came down all the talk was in English between them.

Thought that was a very nice touch.

Re: Hinterland

Cannot wait for the next series.

Would hope they do some filming around Betws-y-Coed and swallow falls it a lot less bleak.

Bit like in the first EP which showed Devil's Bridge and a Welsh folk legend explained.
