What Have You Stocked Up On In An Emergency?

I remember stocking up with candles in the early 1970's when Ted Heath was in power and there were strikes! Then there was the sugar shortage!
What have you stocked up on in an emergency or when bad weather was forecast?

Generally ensure the freezer is jam-packed full as the winter approaches, Make sure I have plenty of cat food and litter in. Makes you feel safer.

Ah yes, and we were trying to get back from the Highlands to the south. It was an 'experience'

Everything just about....
'One in use two in stock' with most things, lots of home made food in the freezer and fresh yeast in there too to make bread. Potatoes and onions and apples in the garage.

The only thing I am likely to run out of is milk and the milkman drives a lorry and gets through in the worst of weather.
