Hospitalised. ....ouch.

For the last few weeks my left arm has been restrictive in it's movement.
I've had difficulty raising it above shoulder height and lifting anything much heavier than a brick above the chest.....no pain though.

Last week I had a scan and this morning I returned to hospital for the results.....I am now at home putting my things together for a short hispital stay, starting this afternoon.

Tomorrow I'm having a spinal fusion.

I've had disc problems for years and an op was inevitable but I was hoping a few more years yet.

Apparently a disc has moved causing problems on nerves.

Not a happy bunny.

Poor you Terry, how long are you likely to be in? You know where I am if you need anything, although I am sure your son and daughter will make sure you don't... but give me a call if you do.
On the bright side there may be some lovely nurses to look after you... so they may brighten your stay

Re: Hospitalised. ....ouch.

It sounds like one of those bite the bullet jobs ... the sooner you get in there the sooner you get out. Unavoidable, and they haven't given you any time to dwell on it.

Spinal fusion? I imagine that entails a bit of a recovery period? When you get home remember you're knee deep in nurses on here. We'll make sure you take it steady and don't over exert yourself.

Take care & good luck Tpin.
