British Summer Time

Don't forget to put your clocks forward one hour before you go to bed.

Do you wish we had BST all the year round as we did for a short time in the 60s? I think I would prefer it, however I guess those much further north than us would find the dark mornings a real pain.

Re: British Summer Time

Not sure why? but I can't remember the time zone change in the 60s even though I was a young man. Or maybe it was because I was a young man with other more important things on my mind.

I'm glad you said that, because I thought I remembered that too, but began to think I was dreaming. It seems so long ago now.
I can't remember why we tried it then dropped it again, was it something to do with kids going to school in the dark?

I always put the time changes on the calendar at the beginning of the year, otherwise I would forget too. Fortunately most of our many clocks are radio controlled, as are our watches.

Re: British Summer Time

The clocks change here too and perhaps this year I might get it right and go forward instead of backwards.
