After a holiday.

Why is it after any holibobs I've ever had the pleasure to go on I come back and spend a couple of days washing, drying and ironing ? I can't believe we wore all these clothes in just 10 days !

And why is it always my job is more the point

Strangely husband, nephew and niece all have far more important things to do

Domestic chores of that nature have always been my job, and will continue to be so until I kick the bucket.

My daughters always used to do their own ironing but hubby & son never did.

Guess that says something about me!

I rarely iron these days, but when I felt the need to do so, I ironed everyone's clothes, including those of our three girls. They were too busy with their studies.

You need a live in maid Julie, can i suggest Mups, but she is not very good at carpentry, us chaps are busy training her.

I too have just come back from a two week holiday abroad Julie and cannot believe the amount of clothes that needed to be washed and ironed.

I have finally got them washed but ironing will have to be over a few weeks.

Because of my previous gastric illness, and my cold and cough, I didn't unpack my case fully till about a week later! I did put the clothes into a wash as soon as I got home though, as my fleece and shirt had become 'soiled'. I won't go into graphic detail but I coughed and choked while sitting in the hotel lounge, necessitating a quick clean up.

Well I've got it all dry now except a shirt I'm struggling with, grass stains are proving a bigger nuisance than I imagined they would
