my wrist watch, where did it go????

i noticed it had gone missing a few days ago, ie last friday evening after coming back from the funeral. Did I loose it at the cremetorium? or back for the wake at the house? or even at the service station where we stopped for a break?

I hunted high and low for it, in the garage ,in the office, every room in he house, Could I find it? could I hell ! had it been pinched or just fell off?
So ordered another to go as a posh do watch .
I have had that watch for around 20 years and never lost time or stopped working. So given up hope of ever seeing it again.

Damn idiot arn't I, seems it was on my office desk and fell into an outdoor shoe on the floor beside the desk. How or when it fell got no idea but glad to have got it back. only just found it
But in a shoe I ask you, who would dream of looking there

Hang on a minute, realspeed, l have to hand it to you! You say, you lost your watch but clocked it in your shoe and ordered a second one!
At first l thought it was a wind up but hour congratulations to you on finding it!
