Does Your 'Equipment' Work?

I don't usually watch the Channel 4 program First Dates, but watched it for the first time ever in the series 8 chapter 13 episode.

About the Show:

The First Dates restaurant throws open its doors to single people looking for love.

There was this couple in the episode who were well in their 60s I would guess, and the Woman said to the camera 'His equipment must be in good working order'!
During the date she even asked the bloke if his 'equipment' was in good working order?
He replied that it was.
This led me to ask the Ladies here on OFF.
Is it THAT important a blokes tackle works well in a relationship?

By the way, I did enjoy the program and might even watch some more episodes on catch up.

I have a widowed friend aged 71. She'd like to meet a man for outings & companionship but not for sex. She has no interest whatsoever in it.

I guess the older you are the less it matters. Other things are more important.

As my equipment is faulty the idea of a man with working equipment would send me running for the hills. So while not a question I'd ask, it might be useful to know.

Although it wouldn't be one of the first things that I asked someone you have got to love her for being brazen or upfront which ever you decide.
