Adult to adult debate

I, repeat I, would like to see debates where adults are able to have a discussion on topics of interest. Is this possible ?

Sure is...,just go into the 'Self Moderated' Forum and You can choose who posts there..You can also ban Anyone You don't fancy...Have fun

Of course you can have serious discussions.......debates even.

We can be a sensible bunch when the topic commands.

So, I for one, votes "yes" to a few serious posters getting involved.

Let's have a mass debate.

Ah, yes I located that "self-moderated" forum. It is a bit off the beaten track and little used. Don't think I'll be using it.
I was hoping that it would be possible to have debate on the "General Chat" forum. I wish I could say more but that does not seem to be.....

Oh dear oh dear, having a little tantrum now are you? This is at least the third thread of yours with the same message it's just getting a bit tedious now, and ironically you are starting to fulfil your own prophecy of getting no sensible conversation....

You can ask at the start of the thread for folks to stay on the topic but if you have an agenda that you wish to push then folks may well see through it.

Then responses will be varied and perhaps not to your liking. Is your personality up to others opinions not agreeing with you ?
