The Strange Case of the Surgeon.

Hi

This is bizarre, a surgeon branding his name on transplanted livers.

https://news.sky.com/story/surgeon-p...ivers-11169248

He has only received a reprimand from the GMC.

He should have been struck off.

Disgusting - as Swims said, he should have been instantly struck off.

Maybe he was a frustrated artist, but yes, a very wrong thing to do, and a very strange thing to do also.

Some surgeons have enormous egos. This type of operation is extremely complex and he seems to have gotten totally carried away with his own importance.

Maybe he thought "Well, an artist signs his paintings so....".
No pal, it doesn't work like that!

If he was a graffiti artist they would call this tagging I think.

Wonder what the verdict been, had he etched his initials visibly on the body ?
