Corbyn Makes An Ass Of Himself Yet Again

It really is a dedicated pastime of old Jezbollah Corbyn to make a complete muppet of himself over and over.

Not long ago he popped off to a primary school in Telford to try and make a nice political story about how the Tories have cut funding, only to be slapped down by the head teacher who had to correct him and inform him that actually the Tories had increased their funding !

Then he had the brilliant idea that he would "put a cap on credit cards so no-one pays interest" ! lols. Free loan money ! Like that would work! Of course his aides had to tell him that this was not right, he'd got the wrong end of the stick (again!) and misunderstood. What a klutz!

And now the latest gaff. In PMQs dear old bumbling Compo Corbyn painted a completely inaccurate picture of the private rented sector.

"During Prime Minister’s Questions he [Jezzer] referenced a woman who had lived in her private rented home for ten years who faced having to leave her property. He used it to call for three year tenancies and warned that tenants were living in fear of eviction.

Official statistics however show that private sector tenants have lived in their homes for an average of over four years.

Figures from the Ministry of Justice also show that in the most recent period for which data is available, sixty two per cent of all claims to repossess a property by landlords were in the social rented sector, compared to 16 per cent in the private rented sector.

Further figures show that just a tenth of all tenancies in the private rented sector are ended by a landlord or letting agent.

RLA Policy Director, David Smith, yesterday commented: “The figures speak for themselves. The vast majority of tenancies are ended by the tenant, and not the landlord and the very fact that the person quoted in today’s exchanges has lived in their rental home for ten years shows the sector is already providing long term stability."

“Many tenants have a perceived fear of eviction because tenancies will often be on the basis of six or 1 year periods which are, in the vast majority of cases, renewed. It is disappointing that the Leader of the Opposition has needlessly played to such fears."

Shouldn't there be some kind of Political Primary School where chumps like Corbyn and Abbott and the rest can first study at to understand the basics of how the country is and how things are costed ?!!!!

I suppose we have to remember that he is a nobody. He came from nowhere and is going nowhere. I'm not sure we should waste money on his education.

We live in a democracy (at least a nominal democracy) in which everyone entitled to do so may vote for whoever they choose.

It is a sad fact of life that those who continue to vote for chumps (like Compo and Fatbott) are chumps themselves.

Perhaps that's why BLiar was so keen on 'dumbing us down': the thicker they are, the more likely they are to vote for the Loony Party. That's my hypothesis anyway!

Re: Corbyn Makes An Ass Of Himself Yet Again

I'm astonished at those statistics when I know of people that are being evicted every week because of no fault of their own, people wanting to just have a home, have invested in decorating and furniture, made a garden only to find the property sold from under them. It's odd anyone is in that position according to you realist. And his own home ? He has to live somewhere why shouldn't he live on a nice house, and fight for others to have the same, at least he is trying to help others.

Corbyn's wife has a career. She is a former banker and now an importer of Fair Trade coffee, so no doubt contributes significantly to the family income. At least unlike some of those in the Cabinet who employ their wives, kids et al, she stays well out if politics and nepotism.

Well you have to have furniture wherever you live and most good landlords keep the property in good condition decoration wise reputable letting agents won't take on a property that is not in good nick . Most private landlords are not Rachman and want to keep good tenants . However they too may have their reasons for selling you don't know their circumstances .I know three people who have been living in the same rental properties for 10 and 7 and 6 years respectively ..

Good for her, If I was married to an MP I certainly would not work for or with him, AND I'd ban all politics talk at the dinner table too.
