Koko has died

Koko the gorilla has died
Koko mastered and used sign language .
I read about her and was found it rather sad she seemed to live such an unnatural life especially for one of her great intelligence and temperament .

That is sad news
We humans learnt a lot from Koko, she gave us a real insight into her species and that they like us are capable of empathy.
Apparently Koko had a love of cats and had her own pet cats.

There are only 5000 of these beautiful creatures left in the wild.
The 'foundation' mentions donations for continuing projects.
One wonders what type of projects they might be referring to.
I so hope they don't put another 40 yrs sentence on another gorilla's head.
