How Do You Refer To Your ‘Other Half’?

I have to say, l dislike the word ‘partner’ but what else do you use when you live/have lived with someone but never married them?
I cringe when l have to use the term ‘partner’ when referring to my ex partner in posts on here!!

When you’re going out with someone or married, you can describe the other person as, your girlfriend/boyfriend or, husband/wife or some other term... ‘er indoors’, ‘the missus’, ‘the gaffer’, ‘my other half’, ‘he/she, who must be obeyed’ or even ‘da bitch’!!

... but when you live or have lived with someone, you have to say, partner or common-law husband/wife. My ex partner was Chris. The name Chris can be a man or a woman... No! I’m not!

Anyway, how do you refer to the one you are with?

My wife, or Missus. Never life partner, live-in chum or other modern day epithets.

I refer to the man I married by his full given name or 'my husband'. I dislike the term 'hubby', it makes me cringe.
