Re: My Pieris.

That is lovely

I have a 3 in the garden and they don't flower like that, but then our soil is rubbish, that's why I've got the majority of plants in containers.

That's a beauty Alan. Seeing it has made me realise that a few years ago we bought one, along with a few other shrubs, and it has disappeared It was very small, but it makes me wonder why I didn't see the going of it!!

Re: My Pieris.

A Pieris has to be grown in ericaceous compost to grow at it's best.........and fed with ericaceous plant food. You probably know this though.

Snap Janela! I have 2 sad looking specimens ... er, somewhere. Have to say they've never flowered as beautifully as Alans. Compared to mine that one looks like a Triffid.

We've got a lovely one ....... well we did have till Hubby cut it back a few weeks ago. Its growing back now though. Its just planted in ordinary garden soil in a patch at the end of the garden - no feeding at all & it comes up lovely every year

Re: My Pieris.

I love them we had 2 in tubs for years and they used to flower but eventually they went very woody and we had to send them to the happy hunting ground when we had our garden revamped but may get some more soon as I really do love them
