Went to a Grammar School many moons ago - unfortunately only got one 'O'level in Art. Worked in the carpet trade for 35 years. Been married twice, but on my own for over twenty years. I enjoy talking to people .... and listening! Not too good health-wise, suffered from COPD for the last 13 years. Try and keep my brain active with my best friend... the computer (part of my family now) I have one son, Nick who's a fitness trainer. I'm very easy going and try to improve the lives of others. Occasionally like a glass of red wine (not too often) and have an obscene diet due to forgetting where the time goes when I'm on my computer. Haven't got time for negativity - everyone has some reason for being happy. And as you might have guessed by now ..... I go on too much!

My Interests

Spend too much time on my computer (interested in graphics and design). Enjoy cooking when I have the time. Work voluntarily on a local free newspaper. Used to play Bowls quite seriously until the last few years. Like listening to all sorts of music from Puccini (my favourite classical composer) through to Leonard Cohen, obviously the Beatles and Stones (from my era) and operatic tenors/duets. Roy Orbison, Elvis .....the list goes on and on. The only soap on telly I watch is Corrie - I generally like DIY progs and being a man ...sport! (except horse racing). Absolutely hate house-work, ironing etc. Will do anything to get out of doing it. Took an Open University 'openings' course on Understanding Health approx two years ago and did quite well on it but couldn't really find the time to progress it any further.
